This site is built against WCAG 2.1 Level AA as its standard: it can be operated by keyboard from top to bottom, it opens with a skip-to-content link, focus outlines stay visible, photographs carry alt text, text is real text rather than pictures of words, and color contrast is set to hold up on a phone in daylight. Animation is reduced automatically if your device asks for that.

We are not claiming it is perfect. If any part of this site does not work for you, email campaign@merrillee.com or call (352) 752-8780 and say what happened and what you were using. We will fix it and write back.

Privacy and cookies

Forms

If you fill in a form, the campaign receives what you typed — your name, your contact details and your message. It goes to campaign@merrillee.com and is used to reply to you and to organize volunteers. It is not sold, rented or traded.

Cookies

This site sets one cookie of its own, and only after you answer the bar at the bottom of the screen: it records whether you said yes or no to analytics. WordPress sets its own cookies for people who log in to edit the site.

Analytics

Analytics is off until you turn it on. If you allow it, the campaign uses Google Analytics with IP anonymization to count which pages get read. Nothing is tied to your name. To change your answer, clear this site’s data in your browser and the question will come back.

Donations

Contributions are processed by ActBlue on ActBlue’s own site, under ActBlue’s privacy policy. Florida law requires the campaign to report the name, address and occupation of everyone who contributes, and those reports are public records.

Parts of this website — layout, code and draft copy — were produced with the help of AI tools by Imperium Marketing Solutions, then read, edited and approved by the campaign before publication.

No photograph, video or audio on this site is AI-generated or AI-altered. Every image is a real photograph of a real person at a real event. Florida law requires a specific disclaimer on political advertising that uses generative AI to make it look like a real person did something they did not do. Nothing on this site does that, and nothing on it ever will.
