Help her win.

There is no expensive media market out here. This race gets won by neighbors knocking on doors, putting up signs, and giving what they can.

Small dollars go a long way out here

There is no expensive media market in District 10. Money here buys yard signs, gas, printing and a folding table — things that actually reach voters.

By check

You can also mail it or hand it to her.

Online is fastest, but a lot of people out here would rather write a check. That works exactly the same, and it costs the campaign less.

Hand it to her

Merrillee is out in the five counties most weeks. Bring a check to any stop on the calendar and give it to her or to anyone wearing a campaign shirt.

Name, address, occupationWrite it on the memo line or tuck in a note. Florida requires the campaign to report all three.
$1,000 per person, per electionThe primary and the general count separately, so you can give up to that amount in each.
Cash tops out at $50Cash and cashier’s checks are capped at $50 per election. Anything above that needs to be a personal check.

Ways to help

Pick the one that fits your week

None of these require experience. All of them require showing up once.

Knock doors

Two hours on a Saturday, a list, and a partner. The highest-value thing anyone can do in a rural district.

Host a porch event

Four neighbors and a driveway is a campaign event. We bring the materials and Merrillee.

Make calls

From your kitchen table, on your own schedule. We give you the list and the script.

Endorse her

If people in your county know your name, lending it is worth more than a donation.

Take a yard sign

County roads carry a lot of eyes. A sign at the right intersection works all month for free.

Wave a sign

An hour on a busy corner with a few supporters. Cheap, visible, and it makes the campaign look like it is everywhere.

Work a market

Farmers markets, fish fries, county fairs. Bring a table, hand out cards, talk to neighbors.

A Row Row Row Your Vote yard sign on a county road

The cheapest advertising in the district

One sign at the right intersection

There is no billboard budget in a race like this. What there is: a few hundred yards of county road frontage, and neighbors willing to lend it. If you own a corner lot, a fence line, or a driveway on a road people actually drive, that is real campaign infrastructure.

Row, row, row your vote.

Merrillee has spent twenty years at the meetings where this water actually gets decided — county commissions, the water management district, the state. This is the year she gets a vote, if enough people in five counties decide it matters.
